75Hard – Day 8

Upped my workout game today. 45 min AM walk before the day got started.

Then a “time trial” for the mile at the High School track. Clocked a 7:15 mile. The first time I ran this summer was on June 14 and it was at a 8:30 pace. I’m happy with the progress.

Then did intervals on the rower to get the second 45 minute workout and went swimming for 40 minutes with the kids.

And since I was up before 5am, I’m beat.

75Hard – Day 7

A bit harder to find time for the second workout, but went for a walk after the kids went to bed.

For the Street Parking challenge, it needed to be a rest day, so nothing too taxing.

Still fasting past noon and feeling great in the mornings.

Podcast listening got to 53, which is the lowest itโ€™s been in years! Hope to make it into the low 40s next week.

75Hard – Day 2

Little bit more of a challenge today. Did the CHESS drop off and had almost exactly 45 minutes until my first work shift.

And 10 minutes into my walk, it was pouring, so I turned around, grabbed an umbrella and finished.

I was tied up from 9a-2p, then it was school pickup, so I decided to fast until dinner time.

I picked up the veggies and got my second workout in right before our nanny went home. Then with the two huge time things out of the way, I was able to enjoy watching part of Cars 3 with the kids before dinner and bedtime.

I was 3/4 the way done with the water by noon – so no problem there ๐Ÿ™‚

Finishing up reading this evening (both a non-fiction book and studying the Bible which is a extra task I’m tackling at the same time).

75Hard – Day 1

Starting today, I’ll be beginning a 75 day challenge called 75Hard. Which will end the day before Halloween.

It’s a pretty simple concept:

  • Two 45-minute workouts and one must be outside
  • 10-minutes of reading non-fiction
  • Progress picture every day
  • Drink one gallon of water
  • No alcohol and no cheat meals

My friend Peder posted about this on Instagram and this is exactly the thing I need to motivate myself to get back into shape.

As soon as our nanny got here, I went for a 45 minute walk and listened to some podcasts.

Then at noon, I did a Street Parking Endurance workout for my second 45-minute work.

The reading, progress picture and no alcohol is going to be simple; it’s going to be the no cheat meals that will be tough for me, but mentally, I’m ready for it.

One day down, 74 to go!
